Meet the 2022 Ford Edge

Reliability, style, and comfort. When we think of Ford, these are the characteristics that come to mind. Ever since the beginning, Ford has been one of America's favorite car brands, and for good reason! They have the power to handle all of your needs, and they look good doing it. The new 2022 Ford Edge is no different. By mixing tradition with modernity, the Edge is one of our favorite SUVs of the year. Here's why! Meet the 2022 Ford Edge A Design That Leaves an Impression One thing is for sure about the 2022 Edge: it grabs attention. The bold grille announces its presence, and the smooth lines and sleek roof give it an elegant silhouette that even the most luxury vehicles strive for. And with 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, people are going to notice when you drive by. The sporty body gives it more stability when handling tighter turns at speed while also giving it a more aggressive look. It's not your average SUV. The interior of the Edge is just as impressive as the exterior. The paddle shifters, inspired by racecar design, make you feel powerful and fully in control at all times when behind the wheel. And the leather-trimmed seats let you sit back in comfort and enjoy the ride. And with the leather-wrapped steering wheel, you can leave the driving gloves in the glovebox. With features like these, you won't want the trip to end. more Powerful Performance Capability Ford knows that its customers like to be on the move, and the Edge is ready to take you wherever the adventure beckons you. The available twin-turbo 2.7L EcoBoost engine produces up to 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque to allow you to bring whatever you need on any road with confidence. And when you put the Edge into sport mode, you'll be able to feel all of this power through enhanced acceleration and handling. Next-Gen Safety Features Of course, the most important cargo a vehicle carries is its driver and passengers, which is why the Edge comes with the Ford Co-Pilot369 safety package. This package contains a wide array of tools designed to take the stress and worry away from driving, no matter the conditions. That way, you and you passengers can enjoy true peace of mind. This package includes a blind spot information system which alerts drivers to oncoming side traffic, a line-keeping system which is extremely helpful on long highway drives, pre-collision assist, adaptive cruise control, and evasive steering assist. With the Edge having your back, you'll feel safer than ever before. Come by Ganley Ford West to test drive the Ford Edge and see why it's the perfect car for you!

Ford West Brakes

3 Signs Your Ford Needs a Brake Repair

Good brakes are essential for safe driving. When you're behind the wheel, you need to be able to control your speed and stop at any time. Your brakes are subject to wear and tear, and they will need a brake repair. In Cleveland, OH, your Ford dealer can fix any braking problem for you. These are a few signs that your brakes need to be repaired. 3 Signs You Need a Brake Repair at Your Ford Dealer Your Car Veers to One Side When you use the brakes, hydraulic pressure is exerted on the calipers to squeeze your wheel rotors and stop your car. It's a scary feeling if you hit the brakes and your car veers to one side. Your car feels like its brakes aren't working, and that's partially true. The brake system on one side of your car has failed. Your car will automatically veer towards the side that has a working brake. The action to stop your car requires the calipers on both your driving wheels to act simultaneously. It also requires equal hydraulic pressure exerted on both calipers. The cause of the brake failure is either a caliper that doesn't engage or a blockage in one of the brake hoses. In either case, the brake on the affected side won't work, and your car will veer to the opposite side. Screeching Sounds When the brake calipers close on either side of the wheel rotors, the brake pads inside the calipers produce friction. The pads have a thick friction material covering that slows and stop the rotors. The friction that causes your wheels to stop also wears off part of the material each time you brake. New pads are 1/2" thick, and they need to be replaced when they wear down. When the thickness of the friction material drops to 1/4" thick, a metal spike in the material is revealed. This spike is built into the pads as a warning. When you apply the brakes, this spike will scratch against the rotor. This scratching generates a piercing screeching sound. It's also a very audible reminder that your pads are thin and need to be changed. Soft Brake Pedal When you step on the brake pedal, it should provide resistance. The resistance is generated by the pressure of the brake fluid. If you step on the brake, and there's almost no resistance, you have a brake problem. The lack of resistance means either there's a blockage in the brake system or you have a brake fluid leak. Our technicians can easily find the cause of the trouble and fix it for you. If you have any problem with your brakes, call us right away at Ken Ganley Ford West.

3 Benefits of Getting

3 Benefits of Getting Car Financing at Your Ford Dealer

Are you ready to buy your new or pre-owned Ford at the dealership? If so, it's time to learn more about car financing. Your friendly Ford dealer can help you get the most flexible offers, so there's a deal for you whether you have a large down payment or not. With the help of dealership financing, you can get a safe and trendy Ford without having to spend all your hard-earned cash at once. 3 Benefits of Getting Car Financing at Your Ford Dealer 1. You Can Choose Your Down Payment Amount The down payment is an important component of your financing deal. Most experts recommend that you pay 10-20% of your car's value upfront in order to show the lender that you're serious about your purchase, gain access to better deals, and reduce your monthly payment. However, you have complete control over the size of your down payment when you get financing from your dealership. Depending on your individual situation, you might be able to buy your car with a very small initial payment. Alternatively, you can pay off half of your car upfront if you have the money available. Anyone who already has a vehicle can trade this in and use the proceeds to pay for part of the new car. With this level of flexibility, it's easy to find a deal that suits you. more 2. You Can Afford the Ford You Always Wanted Most people live paycheck to paycheck and aren't able to save up a significant amount of money each month. If they want to buy a car in cash, they either have to opt for a very cheap model, or they have to buy an old one that may no longer be in great condition. By choosing financing, you can get a safe, reliable, and modern car even if you don't have thousands of dollars in the bank. What's more, a monthly car payment makes it easy for you to budget. The average car loan lasts for six years and is fixed for the entire duration. That way, you can easily plan your expenses around your monthly payments, and you won't have to worry about inflation or any price fluctuations. 3. You Can Safeguard Your Financial Future Some people argue that you'll pay less if you buy your car upfront, but that doesn't necessarily make it the best financial move. Many people who avoid debt actually end up behind because they are spending all their money instead of saving it up to reach their goals. For instance, you could use the money you would otherwise spend on your car for a down payment on a home. That way, you don't have to keep spending on rent, and you can begin building up home equity. When you're ready to buy your new Ford, you shouldn't hesitate to reach out to the experts at the local dealership. We can help you find a financing deal that suits your individual needs and allows you to buy a great Ford vehicle. Get in touch with our team at Ken Ganley Ford West in Cleveland, OH to find out more and to book a test drive.

3 Reasons to Replace

3 Reasons to Replace Your Ford Parts at the Dealership

Even the best vehicles need replacement parts after a while. When you notice a problem with your car, you should visit the Ford dealership, where you can quickly and easily buy what you need and have your Ford parts installed. Not only will you always receive top-notch service, but there are multiple ways to buy, and the dealership always offers great discounts. 3 Reasons to Replace Your Ford Parts at the Dealership 1. The Ford Dealership Always Uses Genuine Parts No matter what kind of repair you need, you will always receive genuine parts manufactured by Ford when you come to the dealership. This is important for a variety of reasons. Firstly, it ensures that you don't lose your warranty. When you install aftermarket parts in your vehicle, Ford might refuse to bear the responsibility should there be an issue. Secondly, the quality of original equipment manufacturer parts is often higher. Therefore, you can expect your car to run as well as it did before you needed the repair. Finally, while parts from the Ford company might be slightly more expensive than generic products, they come with a generous warranty, so you won't have to worry about paying twice for your repair. more 2. The Technicians Are Highly Trained Most drivers aren't qualified car mechanics, so they rely on the technicians at the dealership to help them install the parts they buy. When you come to see us at Ken Ganley Ford West, you can be sure that anyone who works on your car is fully trained and highly experienced. We expect our technicians to have extensive knowledge of every Ford model currently available so they are able to diagnose the issue and find a solution quickly and efficiently. 3. There Are Various Ways to Buy Many people purchase from aftermarket stores because they believe that visiting their dealership and asking for the relevant part is too time-consuming. But fortunately, this isn't the case. There are several ways you can buy parts and accessories from us. Many of our customers come directly to the dealership because they would like us to inspect their cars and install the new items. However, if you're confident that you can do this on your own, you can also give us a call and order over the phone or fill out our online contact form. We will then check whether the required item is in stock and give you a call back. That way, you can order your parts without leaving the house. 4. There Are Great Discounts While you might believe that buying parts from an aftermarket dealer is cheaper, this isn't always the case because Ford offers great discounts. If you have a FordPass™ Rewards Visa Card, you can receive 5% back in points whenever you purchase anything at the dealership and 10% back on Ford service. Replacing car parts at the Ford-specific dealership is almost always a good idea because you'll receive genuine items, the technicians are highly trained, and there are great discounts and incentives available. What's more, you can buy in person, over the phone, or via the website. Call us now at Ken Ganley Ford West in Cleveland, OH to inquire about parts or book a service appointment.

3 reasons to work with a

3 Reasons to Work With a Factory-Trained Ford Mechanic

Your Ford is a valuable, vital, and much cared for part of your life. It allows you to get to work, visit family and friends, and even pick up takeout. It's available for any of the myriad of other demands life throws at you. If something goes wrong, it's essential to have a Ford mechanic check it out. These are the reasons to visit your Ford dealership when you need a repair. 3 Reasons To Work With a Ford Mechanic: Visit Your Ford Dealership Today Our Mechanics Are Experts Our mechanics only work on Ford vehicles, and all of our mechanics are trained and certified by Ford as experts. When you come into our service center for a repair, the mechanic we assign has a huge amount of theoretical and practical knowledge of Ford vehicles. Our specialist mechanics can diagnose, find, and repair problems much faster than a general mechanic can. Their experience and training also allow them to foresee potential issues and repair them before something happens. No matter how experienced or qualified a general mechanic is, he can't hope to match the knowledge and experience of a specialist mechanic. Generalist mechanics will work on a large variety of makes and models. Although all cars have the same basic function and the same basic parts, the knowledge of how to repair a specific make and model is not interchangeable. more You Save Money Some people think that it's better to go to a general mechanic as they're believed to be cheaper. These days, that's no longer true. New manufacturing techniques and economies of scale from the huge numbers of Ford cars being produced have reduced the cost of genuine Ford parts. Our dealership has the latest diagnostic technology from Ford and this saves time in finding any problem. The reduced repair time is passed on to you in a lower repair bill. A general mechanic may offer a cheaper repair quote, but it's important to remember that cheaper will cost more in the long run. Since general mechanics don't have the necessary specialist knowledge or equipment, they can potentially make a mistake. Due to the complexity of modern cars, a small mistake can have an extensive impact. Additional repairs necessary to fix a failed repair job will cost you more. Genuine Parts Your Ford was designed and built by engineers to very precise standards. All of our replacement parts are identical to the parts that were originally used to build your car. These identical will always fit perfectly, and work exactly as they're supposed to. As your dealer, we only use genuine Ford parts and will never use anything else. A general mechanic won't have the same access to genuine parts and will be more likely to use generic replacement. A generic replacement will never work as well as a genuine part, and it will also need to be replaced sooner. If you experience any problems with your vehicle, call our service center right away at Ganley Ford West.
